Morrowland project
The blog
1st lesson
Here we got to know our groups and the topics we got. We also had to make an introduction video for the Indian students. It took some time because we messed the text up each time.
2nd lesson
We had to think of questions we wanted to ask the Indian students. And looked at our tasks for the first time. So we also began getting al the materials.
3th lesson
Here we had a teams meeting with the Indian students. We asked them a few questions, and they also asked us some questions. But every group had questions so it took quite a long time.
4th lesson
In this lesson we made a PowerPoint presentation about a video called Morrowland. We also narrated the PowerPoint and made it into a video. But that took quite a long time so we were going to finish it in the next lesson.
5th lesson
In this lesson we did the window investigation experiment. We had to walked in and around the whole school to find the right type of window for that part of the experiment. But we managed.
6th lesson
In this lesson we arranged al of the interviews with students and we arranged a interview with expert Pieter Minee from energy policy and climate change Meierijstad.
7th lesson
In this lesson we had to arrange the interviews further. In this lesson we received the answers of the students and arranged the interview with the expert even further. And this from home because of the lockdown.
8th lesson
In this lesson we had to give feedback to other group’s weeblies and other groups gave us feedback.
9th lesson
In this lesson we are going to change the weebly with the tips of last lesson. We need to correct the units we used and think of 3 methods on how to save energy at school.

part A
The interview
The interview was with an expert who helped companies in Meijerijstad with getting to complete green energy. He knows a lot about climate change and how to prevent it so I asked if I could interview him and he said yes. We talked about things in Meijerijstad and eventually about saving energy at school. We talked for more than half an hour but this are the most important tips:
The first thing we talked about was the energy triangle. It’s a triangle with some of the most known and efficient ways of saving energy
1 - use less energy. New machines and all the newest things. Easiest way
2 - use the earthcrust to save energy instead of using the son to warm up water.
3 - re use all the fossil fuels you have. And try to do it as much as possible.
Some other options he gave was blue energy. This is warming up everything with the sun or the earth. But this is very expensive.
The last 2 options he gave are 2 pretty obvious ones.
1 - use wind mills or sun panels
2 - thicker glass, isolation or use less energy e.g by putting out every lamp when you go home
This interview was quite interesting and I learned a lot from this.

The questions
1 Are you working on saving energy at school?
2 What do you think of the changes in the environment?
3 how can you save energy at school yourself
4 Do you think we use a lot of green energy or more gray energy?
5 What can we do as a school to save energy?
6 Do you have ideas for saving energy at school?
The answers
1, no.
2, climate change is not good.
3, charge computers at home, not at school.
4, more gray energy, should actually become more green energy.
5, turn off lights and solar panels at the school.
1. Not really if I have to be honest ...
2. It's a bit strange that everything changes.
3. I think I don't count as much I suppose
4. Gray.
5. Turn on the heating less often it gets cold since the windows are open.
6. Not really, but maybe turn the lights off more often if not necessary.
1.No, actually
2. Good!
3. Using fewer appliances that consume a lot of energy
4. I think a lot of Gray
5. Use fewer devices
6. Don't use too much energy and lots of solar panels
1. No.
2. Good
3. Use fewer devices
4. I think a lot of gray energy
5. Use fewer devices
6. Use fewer appliances and place solar panels on the roof
1, not really
2, okay in itself
3, using less devices
4, gray energy
5, maybe less lamps on many places
6, I have no idea
1, In itself I think, I am not very bad but I think a little
2, good
3, turn off lights and stuff
4 I don't know but I think gray?
5, lights and stuff, don't always have the laptops on
6, the same as five I guess
1 no not really
2 I think it's special
3 by charging your laptop and phone at home
4 more gray
5 to work less on the laptop
6 use more books
1. No.
2. I think it's okay but it is strict
3. waste less foo
4. Gray
5. Leave lights off
6. Yes, think more about the environment
Part C
Saving energy in the best way is possible in different ways.
some good examples are:
- Switching of lights, but only when there is enough sunlight.
- unplug unesed electronics.
- closing doors and windows to save warmth.
but there are many more! and many more we should make use of!
